12 Steps of Recovery:
1. Admit Powerlessness: Acknowledge that you are powerless over your addiction and that your life has become unmanageable.
2. Believe in a Higher Power: Believe that a power greater than yourself can restore you to sanity.
3. Turn Over Control: Make a decision to turn your will and life over to the care of this higher power.
4. Self-Inventory: Conduct a thorough and fearless moral inventory of yourself.
5. Admit Wrongdoings: Admit the nature of your wrongs to yourself, your higher power, and another person.
6. Be Ready for Change: Become entirely ready to have your higher power remove your defects of character.
7. Ask for Help: Humbly ask your higher power to remove your shortcomings.
8. Make a List: List all persons you have harmed and become willing to make amends to them.
9. Make Amends: Make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when doing so would cause harm.
10. Continue Inventory: Continue to take personal inventory and promptly admit when you are wrong.
11. Seek Connection: Seek through prayer and meditation to improve your conscious contact with your higher power, praying for knowledge of its will and the power to carry it out.
12. Help Others: Carry this message to others in need and practice these principles in all aspects of life.
